Rostelecom reconstructed the regional warning system in Tuva

6 February 12:51
Rostelecom has installed more than a hundred software and hardware warning systems in 70 settlements in Tuva.
Modern systems provide reliable and timely notification of the population about emergency situations. The project was commissioned by the regional government and with the participation of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“Rostelecom carried out a large-scale reconstruction and retrofitting of the system. Its coverage was more than 80% of the population, which complies with legal requirements. The installed devices make it possible to promptly inform citizens about possible natural or man-made hazards, as well as the necessary protective measures and behavior in emergency situations,” said the head of the Republic of Tyva, Vladislav Khovalyg.

The new complexes automatically receive and redirect siren signals and voice information from control centers of unified duty and dispatch services, and start the operation of loudspeakers.
“Most of the digital equipment is located in administration buildings, schools, and hospitals. To connect to the Internet, we used various communication channels, including wired, radio and GSM, which ensures stable operation of the system,” said Alexey Usatov, director of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Rostelecom.
The project is being implemented within the framework of the state program “Protection of the population and territories from emergency situations.” Rostelecom will continue to maintain the installed systems until 2029.
