Traian Basescu announced who supports in the election race. “We are in front of a necessary vote”
Traian Basescu wrote the name of a presidential candidate, on Friday night on Saturday, on his Facebook page. In the answers given to those who commented on his post, the former president expressed his support for him.

At 3:30, a few hours before the end of the election campaign, Traian Basescu wrote on his socialization page, in capital letters, the name “Nicușor Dan”, an independent candidate for the presidential elections. Before officially announcing who he claims, he said in a comment that “it would not be bad at all” to leave the current mayor of the Capital.
Posting has gone viral with numerous reactions and over 1,600 comments. And the former president also dialoged with some of the Internet users who commented his option.
“It is the only option that can save us now democracy“, A person wrote to him, referring to Nicușor Dan, an answer approved by Basescu:”That's right, we are in front of a necessary vote”.
There were also people who criticized their options in the presidential elections: “In 2014 you said to vote Johannes (Klaus Iohannis no) and you saw what we chose. Other people expressed their sympathy for Elena Lasconi, the person that Traian Basescu also supported in the 2024 elections: “I don't want to meets with peacock.
