On his return to Washington, at the beginning of this week, Donald Trump was greeted, as usual, by journalists, among them the reporter from Bloomberg, who asked him why he does not want to make public all the files related to the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Visibly irritated by the question, the American president pointed his index finger at her and shouted: “Quiet, quiet, piggy!”, the moment being captured on video cameras. The images immediately went viral online, and Donald Trump's uncontrolled exit was met with a wave of criticism.
The left-wing political organization Occupy Democrats sent a harsh message, along with the video in which the Washington leader calls the Bloomberg journalist a “piggy”.
“This is the President of the United States. This is how he talks to the press and other adults he is supposed to lead. America can do so much better!”, is the message from Occupy Democrats, which accompanies the images.
For its part, Really American states that what Donald Trump has done is “disgusting” and qualifies him as “an insensitive and inappropriate guy”.
“It's about the president of the United States, who is himself overweight, calling another person a 'pig'.” wrote one user on X, attaching a GIF of Miss Piggy, the iconic Muppet character, to his post.
“Just imagine ANY OTHER president saying that to a female journalist in a press conference,” someone else wrote.
The incident comes after Donald Trump repeatedly renounced his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and denied every time that he knew about the crimes committed by him in terms of prostitution, human trafficking and pedophilia, despite several emails published in the press across the Ocean, just last week, in which Epstein wrote that Donald Trump “knew about girls” and that he spent “hours” at his home, together with Virginia Giuffre.
Moreover, in the last week, information was published from several files in which the billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein is involved, and on Tuesday, November 18, the US House of Representatives is going to vote on whether the rest of the Epstein files will be made public.
Although Donald Trump initially opposed this measure, on Sunday he changed his mind, declaring that he agrees with it, because “he has nothing to hide.”
As for his outing towards the journalist from Bloomberg, it is not singular, he also apostrophized the reporters of this publication on other occasions. “Will you let me finish my statement? You're the worst. “You're from Bloomberg, aren't you? You're the worst. I don't know why I keep you there.” he told another reporter last week.
According to the American media, Donald Trump would have used the same offensive term in the past against Alicia Machado, a 19-year-old young woman who won one of the Miss Universe editions when he was co-owner of the franchise that organized the beauty pageant.
“It was overwhelming, I was so afraid of him.” (…) He yelled at me all the time. He told me “You're ugly” or “You're fat”. Sometimes he would play with me and say, “Hi, Miss Piggy''” Alicia Machado said during Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.
