In Krasnoyarsk, a court sentenced a local resident for growing cannabis.

The Krasnoyarsk resident grew bushes of the drug-containing plant in the apartment of his wife, whom he did not warn.

However, while trying to sell drugs for 22 thousand rubles, the man was detained by law enforcement officers.

The court found the man guilty of drug production (clauses “b”, “d” of Part 3.4 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and illegal cultivation of drug-containing plants (Part 1 of Article 231 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He was sentenced to 7.5 years in a maximum security colony.
