free invoicing programs. We checked what possibilities they have

Of course, free solutions are provided by the Ministry of Finance. This is the KSeF Taxpayer Application (and a mobile version for the phone – KSeF Mobile Application) and the e-mikrofirma application. However, they have their limitations. For example, you have to enter the contractor's details each time (although there is an option to issue a “similar invoice” to one we have already issued).
What do commercial software producers offer? We checked several offers advertised in the search engine as “free” and offering integration with KSeF. Please note that this is not an exhaustive review. We have not tested programs (applications/services). Each entrepreneur must therefore check and adapt the solution to his or her own needs and preferences.
The conclusions from our review of solutions (mainly cloud) are clear.

What are the conclusions regarding the free KSeF integration offer?
Firstly free solutions are aimed at the smallest entrepreneurs who issue several invoices a month (although there are exceptions).
Secondly entrepreneurs get very basic functions for free and most often they will not be able to submit JPK_VAT, which is a basic file that must be sent to the tax office every month (of course, if the entrepreneur uses quarterly VAT, he or she submits JPK every quarter).
Thirdly, even if you run a sole proprietorship, then… In our opinion, it is worth paying for a program that not only integrates with KSeF, but also offers other necessary functionsincluding monthly submission of JPK_VAT.
Let us add that the paid offer of services/programs offering integration with KSeF seems attractive in terms of price. Prices start from approximately PLN 5 per month.
At the end of the article, we also point to a free tool that helps with KSeF, but is not a program for issuing e-invoices.

What integrations with KSeF do companies offer as part of free access?
KSeF services include, among others: inFact. It is not only free, but also without any document limits. After logging in, the entrepreneur receives information that it is a test account for a month. You have to choose one of the plans, but one of them is still the free inFakt KSeF option. However, only new customers can benefit from the free option.
The application allows you to issue invoices, connect to KSeF, send invoices to KSeF, and download them from KSeF. The service applies to basic types of invoices, including corrections. It is enough for the basic needs of a micro-entrepreneur. There is no limit on documents (issued, received, sent). However, there is no connection to payments and other functionalities. Need more, including accounting? You have to pay, although it is a small price per month for a comprehensive tool for handling invoices, including the ability to record documents yourself.
Comarch Betterfly also offers an application for KSeF. The eFaktura version is free. You can exhibit up to 10 people there invoices domestic, add costs, including directly from photos or files (up to the limit of 10 documents). However, it is not possible to send e.g. JPK_VAT. The entrepreneur also gets free access to the paid version (eFaktura Plus) for 30 days, where it is possible to submit JPK files. After the test period, you must choose: either free access only for issuing e-invoices or paid access with many options.
As one of the free integration options with KSeF after typing it into the search engine, it also pops up fillup.pland is available for micro-entrepreneurs firmly service. Entrepreneurs have a 30-day trial period, including all invoices, integration with the National e-Invoice System, the ability to send and download invoices from KSeF, the ability to fill out forms available in the Firmly forms database, but also to generate and send JPK_V7M/K and JPK files. Only new users registered on the website for the first time can take advantage of the tests. However, if the entrepreneur settles his annual tax in e-pity, he will receive free access to Firmly until the end of the year. On the other hand fillup is a program that supports users in e-declarations, and in the context of KSeF it is a tool dedicated to accountants in companies and accounting offices handling administrative formalities. The first month is free.
Another z free integration options with KSeF after entering it into the search engine “Invoice” also pops up. In practice, after entering the company's website, information appears that you can test this solution for free (for 30 days). After entering the plans, it turns out that there is a free option. It can be used by micro-entrepreneurs who issue no more than three invoices per month. Many functions are available, including, of course, integration with KSeF (receiving and sending invoices), but you will not receive, for example, notifications that a purchase invoice has arrived in KSeF. You will not send e.g. JPK_VAT, which is the obligation of every active VAT payer. However, if the entrepreneur chooses the free option, he or she will receive many additional functionalities and several plans to choose from.
It also offers integration with KSeF Faktura.pl. In practice, the website allows you to test KSeF for 30 days. In practice, you can check very basic functions. After the trial period, it is worth switching to one of the paid plans, which offer many more possibilities.
Another option for integration with KSeF is Mega Invoice lite, a free issuing program invoices for micro-enterprises. The functionality of the free version is limited to basic functions: issuing VAT and non-VAT invoices for VAT-exempt companies. Invoices can be saved in the XML e-Invoice format and entered manually into the KSeF system. Also in this case, it is better to use paid plans.
Another website offering access to KSeF is Fakturowo.pl. You can test the account for free for 100 days, but Only users with an active, paid subscription to the website have access to KSeF. As the website informs, “Using KSeF also involves responsibility on our part, in particular for proper communication with the systems of the Ministry of Finance, handling authorizations, sending documents, their statuses, archiving and ongoing adaptation of the system to the changing technical and legal requirements of KSeF. For these reasons, this functionality is not available as part of free accounts.”
Need help with KSeF? There is a free tool
A group of scientists from the University of Warsaw designed and created the Temidapro.ai tool to help entrepreneurs from KSEF. As Radosław Borowski, a tax advisor, explains, this is it an artificial intelligence-based model (chat) that generates responses regarding KSEF and taxes in general (Taxes and Accounting module). Importantly, it uses only verified sources from the Ministry of Finance, the National Tax Administration and the National Tax Information (mainly individual interpretations and information on the implementation of the KSEF, including the KSeF 2.0 Manual). – The model created in this way allows for providing only substantive answers to questions regarding KSEF and taxes – says Radosław Borowski.
The expert adds that Temidapro.ai provides substantive and non-so-called hallucinations of answers, unlike other models that do not have access to, for example, most individual interpretations published by the National Tax Information. Temidapro.ai is provided for free. The KSEF module is available without logging in (just go to https://temidapro.ai/) and completely free of charge.
