The information was revealed by Italian journalist Nicolo Schiara: “Simone Inzaghi wants Francesco Acerbi at Al Hilal from July. His contract with Inter expires in June and will not be extended. Negotiations have started.”
Brought up by Brescia, Francesco Acerbi has played for Pavia, Reggina, Genoa, Chievo Verona, AC Milan, Sassuolo, Lazio and Inter throughout his career.
This Serie A season, Acerbi has only made 14 appearances under Cristi Chivu, often being just an unused substitute. The centre-back also has 5 matches this season in the Champions League, a competition that Inter exited in the round of 16 after 2-5 overall.
