President Donald Trump spoke at a Saudi-sponsored investment conference in Miami. He warmly praised the country and its leader, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for their courage. He suggested that it is a much better ally than NATO countries.
He also emphasized his surprise at Iran's decision to attack countries in the region. Trump also called on Mohammed to encourage Saudi Arabia to normalize relations with Israel after the end of the war with Iran.

At one point in his speech, he recalled the problems in the Strait of Hormuz. This key waterway for tanker traffic is blocked by Iran.

This was not the end of Donald Trump's surprising statements. At one point he declared that he was ready to answer all questions.
“You can ask me anything you want,” Trump said.
