Yurent opened the scooter season with an updated fleet in Krasnoyarsk

March 27 15:28

The kicksharing service Yurent, part of the MTS group of companies, launched a new season in Krasnoyarsk. This year, about 2,500 electric scooters of the Yurent 2.0 model—the service’s own development, assembled in Russia—as well as 450 electric bicycles are available to city residents.

The new scooters feature improved stability and control comfort. The tires reduce vibration on rough roads and provide good traction in rain and temperature changes. The scooter also “interacts” with the user through sound, allowing the rider to avoid distractions and have more control over the ride.

This season, Yurent continues to focus on safety. The scooters are equipped with enlarged side numbers – they are convenient to read when crossing the roadway, which reduces the risk of traffic violations. The city maintains “slow zones” with speeds of up to 15 km/h; scooters are prohibited in some areas. Restrictions work automatically thanks to built-in IoT modules.

Last season, Krasnoyarsk residents used scooters mainly as transport – the share of such trips exceeded 85%. The average travel time was reduced to 13 minutes. The most popular routes are from home to work, the gym or shopping center, and also as last-mile transport from a stop.

The service notes a decrease in accident rates: 99.99% of trips ended without incident, the total number of incidents decreased by 30%. Work will continue to identify and block minor users through MTS ID. Before their first trip, new users will be asked to take a test on their knowledge of the rules of the road.
