Huge crisis in Cuba. The situation in Venezuela did not help

Cuba is experiencing the greatest difficulties in supplying food, fuel and other raw materials necessary for the functioning of the country since the communist revolution that ended in 1959. Most regions of the island experience power and drinking water shortages for many hours.

The source of the island's deepening paralysis is the change in power in Venezuela. This country, which under the rule of Nicolas Maduro was the largest supplier of oil to Cuba, stopped transporting crude oil to the island after its capture on January 3 by American troops.

Shortly after Maduro's capture, the Mexican authorities also announced the suspension of supplies to the island, after the US threatened tariffs on countries selling raw materials to Cuba.
