In a village near Minusinsk, a 7-year-old child was walking on a frozen river and drowned

IN village of Gorodok, Minusinsk region A 7-year-old boy fell through the ice and drowned. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The child and his older friend went for a bike ride on March 25 at 2 p.m. They came to the Tuba River to throw stones, says the regional Investigative Committee.
There the children decided to cross the channel of the Tuba River on thin spring ice. They went out onto the ice, but fell into a ravine and both ended up in the water. The older child was able to get ashore, but the younger one was pulled away by the current.
The regional police add that the mother of a 7-year-old child turned to to law enforcement officers when he did not return home from a walk. In addition, the second boy told his mother about what happened.
The deceased did not have a phone with him. There is one more child left in the family.
A criminal case has been opened. Rescuers continue their search, but it is complicated by the strong current of the river.
