Fraudsters can spy on Russians through smart speakers

March 26 18:30
Fraudsters can use voice assistants and smart speakers to monitor users, Vestnik Surgutsky District reports, citing Kaspersky specialists.
According to experts, owners of such devices may not notice that they are being watched for a long time. The speaker should turn on spontaneously without a voice command, as well as the appearance of unknown devices or suspicious activity in the account history.
If strange things are detected, experts advise disconnecting the speaker from the network and the Internet, then changing the account password to a complex one and updating the firmware to eliminate possible vulnerabilities.
