Krasnoyarsk schoolchildren are invited to participate in the regional championship on financial literacy

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, registration of school teams for the financial literacy championship “Krasnoyarsk Lions” has started. Students in grades 8–10 are invited to participate. Applications are accepted until March 31.

The regional Ministry of Finance said that the championship is being held with the aim of developing financial and reading literacy, critical and creative thinking, as well as developing financial culture and teamwork skills. Participants will have to solve tasks based on real situations, demonstrate the ability to analyze information and make decisions.

The competition will be held in two stages. The qualifying round will take place online on the platform of the Regional Center for Financial Literacy, the final will take place on April 25 in Krasnoyarsk in person.

The jury will include representatives of the interdepartmental commission to improve financial literacy and develop the financial culture of the population. Among them are employees of the regional Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, the tax service, and educational organizations.

Winners and runners-up will receive prizes, diplomas and certificates.

Let us remind you that the regional case championship “Krasnoyarsk Lions” is one of the largest events to improve financial literacy in the region. The initiator and developer of the materials is school No. 16 (Achinsk). Last year, 66 teams from different territories of the Krasnoyarsk Territory participated in the tournament.
