The singer, probably afraid that all Russians would know about his “support” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, deleted the comment from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

Basque February 25, 2022 on Instagram came out in support of full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine.
In his publication, Baskov quoted the statement of the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin “about the start of a special military operation,” after which Russian troops shelled Ukrainian cities, committing an invasion of a sovereign state.
In particular, Baskov said that he considers the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine “a peacekeeping operation and the prevention of an attack on Russia.”
On March 7, 2022, a court in Ukraine allowed Baskov to be detained for supporting the war.
