They want to launch a network in Russia “white ATMs». They will belong to the association “Rosinkas» — division of the Central Bank. This will solve the problem with the availability of ATMs in remote regions of the country, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the president “Rosinkas» Sergei Vereikin.
There are now 138 thousand ATMs operating in Russia, their number is declining and has now reached its minimum since 2010. One of the reasons — high costs for credit institutions to maintain devices in hard-to-reach places. Moreover, in some similar settlements there may be several ATMs installed by different banks at the same time.
“Rosinkas» plans to create an independent network “white» ATMs that will be managed by one operator. Banks will rent the device, gaining access to it by subscription, or pay only the volume of transactions carried out by their clients, explained Sergey Vereikin.
“A unified network will allow ATMs to be placed in accordance with the real needs of the population, and not just in areas of high commercial profitability», — noted the head “Rosinkas».
Bank clients who connect to such a network will not pay a commission. As a result, banks can reduce up to 30% of the operating costs that went into servicing ATMs.
Bye “white» ATMs appeared as an experiment in the Tambov region.
