Registration of children for first grade starts in Krasnoyarsk next week

On April 1, schools in Krasnoyarsk will begin accepting applications for first grades, the education department of the mayor’s office reported.

This year, more than 550 first grades will be formed, and over 14 thousand children will sit at their desks for the first time. The enrollment process will traditionally take place in two stages.

The first will last until June 30. During this period, applications are accepted from families living in territories assigned to specific schools (at the place of registration); from parents of children whose brothers or sisters are already studying at this school, regardless of their place of residence; families of preferential categories having priority or extraordinary right to enrollment. In the second stage, from July 7 to September 5, schools will accept applications for the remaining available places. Anyone can submit documents.

Let us remind you that in The first classes accept children aged 6.5 to 8 years. However, exceptions are possible – at the request of the parents and if there is a conclusion from the psychological, medical and pedagogical commission on the child’s readiness for education, enrollment at an earlier or later age is possible.

You can submit an application through the State Services portal or contact the school in person. Required documents for enrollment: statement from parents (or legal representatives upon presentation of a passport); the original birth certificate of the child (or other document confirming the relationship) and its copy; the original certificate of registration of the child at the place of residence (or certificate of registration of the child at the place of stay in the assigned territory) and its copy.

All relevant information about admission to first grade, the schedule for submitting applications and documents, as well as the number of available places will be published on the official websites of schools.
