I shove the old frying pan into a bag, but not a garbage bag – 1 cleaning solution will lick off the burnt debris until it shines

A burnt pan is one of the most common kitchen problems. Carbon deposits on the bottom and sides of cookware can be difficult to remove with conventional means, and the use of harsh abrasives can damage the finish. In some cases, housewives use a simple home cleaning method with available ingredients.

To prepare the cleaning composition you will need:

  • about one glass of carbonated drink (such as cola);
  • 2 tablespoons of soda;
  • 1 tablespoon salt;
  • 2 tablespoons dishwashing detergent;
  • tight package.

How to use this method

All ingredients are mixed until smooth. The frying pan is placed in a bag and filled with the prepared solution. The bag is tied and left for about one hour so that the mixture softens the carbon deposits.

After this, the surface of the dishes is carefully wiped with a sponge and washed thoroughly with warm water.

Baking soda and salt help soften stains, dish soap dissolves grease, and carbonated drink helps break down plaque due to its acidity. As a result, carbon deposits become softer and easier to remove.

However, experts remind that before using such methods it is worth considering the material of the dishes. For some coatings, it is better to choose gentler cleaning methods to avoid damaging the surface.
