Zlatan Ibrahimovic (44 years old) has accepted the proposal of the American station FOX Sports and will be the main analyst of the World Cup in 2026, which will be held in the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.
The former Swedish footballer, known for his strong, direct and challenging personality, will thus join his former colleague from Barcelona, Thierry Henry (48).

“The 2026 World Cup is about to be Zlatanized,” FOX Sports announced via an official statement.
“The 2026 World Cup will be the greatest ever! I'm excited to announce that I'm joining FOX Sports in the United States of America this summer for the final tournament. You're welcome, America!“, the legendary footballer said.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic's FOX Sports debut is set for the June 11 World Cup opener between Mexico and South Africa.
As a soccer player, Zlatan Ibrahimovic played for two seasons in the United States of America, during 2018-2019. The Swede played for the Los Angeles Galaxy and made 58 MLS appearances, scoring 53 goals and providing 18 assists.
After the short adventure in the USA, Zlatan returned to Europe, to AC Milan, where he continued to play for 4 seasons.
Previously, the Swede spent two seasons at Manchester United, 4 at PSG, another two at AC Milan, one at Barcelona, 3 at Inter, two at Juventus and 3 at Ajax, where he was brought in 2001 from Malmo.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic made his World Cup debut in 2002 when he scored two minutes into Sweden's 1-1 draw in the final group game. Later, Zlatan played 28 minutes in the elimination of the “sixteenth”, 1-2 with Senegal. Ibrahimovic made 3 more appearances in the 2026 edition, but failed to score a single goal in the final tournament.
