Lautaro Martinez (28 years old), his striker Interconfessed in an interview given to an Argentine radio station, that he is thinking about a return to the country. “I still have a contract until 2029, but I want to make my children understand the love that people have for Racing and I'm trying to convince my family,” said the Nerazzurri captain.
Lautaro Martinez is not only the captain of Inter, but also the third top scorer in the history of the club and the player much loved by the Nerazzurri fans. The Argentinian's absence was strongly felt on all three fronts, with Cristi Chivu's side being knocked out by Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League play-off and also losing the second leg of the derby with AC Milan.
Lautaro Martinez: “I would like to stay in top football for a long time. I feel good and I'm still young, but in the future…”
The Inter player wants to return as soon as possible and insists, besides Chivu, to be called up for next Sunday's match, away to Fiorentina. Lautaro, however, has given them cause for concern that at some point he will leave, thus not wanting to end his career at the team on 'Giuseppe Meazza'.
“My dream is to return to Racing for at least one year. I don't know when. I try to convince my wife and she supports me. Obviously, it depends on many things, related to the family, but also how I feel physically”, revealed Lautaro Martinez, in an interview with Racing Radio.

The Argentine forward spoke openly about the future: “I have three years left on my contract with Inter. I would like to stay in high-level football for a long time. I feel good and I am still young, but in the future, I would like to show my children the love that the people at Racing have for me.
Military? We talk every week. He was always there for me, even at the beginning of my career. He also sent me a message after I got injured and we talked about Racing, which is not going well, but I sent him a message of support for the club.”
“I always have the desire to return to Racing, because of the moments I lived. They allowed me to get to where I am today!”
During the discussion with Racing Radio, the Inter captain also told: “One day I was at Tita (Racing's training center) because a friend of my brother's was playing for the reserve team.

I had arrived in Argentina that day because I had been called up to the national team and I went straight to the field. I met Costas (no – Racing's coach), who told me «Stay here, we are waiting for you, come, come back next year, play in the World Championship and come»!
The desire to return to Racing is always present in me because of the moments I experienced, because they allowed me to reach where I am today. Beyond the sacrifices I made, they helped me a lot.”
