Igor Strelkov was refused to be sent to the Northern Military District zone from a colony in the Kirov region.
I contacted representatives of the military registration and enlistment office visiting the penal colony, but twice I was refused even to accept my application. Once, with the motivation “we don’t need colonels,” they didn’t even mention the article as a reason for refusal. So far, nothing has changed in this regard,” his letter says.
Earlier, Girkin’s wife also denied information about her husband’s possible sending to the Northern Military District. She recalled that the extremist article does not allow re-education at the front. His lawyer also told us that Girkin filed a petition, but responses from the relevant departments were planned just for September 11. Today – refusal.
Strelkov was sentenced to four years and 11 months of general imprisonment in the case of calls for extremist activity. On July 18, he was brought to IK-5 in the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk.
