On March 12, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko announced that until May 1, citizens will be able to receive from the state 15% cashback on diesel fuel, 10% of the cost of purchased gasoline and 5% on autogas.
Executive Director of the Center for Economic Strategy Gleb Vyshinsky wrote that almost all banks, according to his data, limit cashback to 500 UAH per month.
“And here the government will subsidize fuel without restrictions to the unfortunate owners of multi-liter wheelbarrows. After all, this is other people’s money,” his post says.
In his comments, Palchevsky indicated that the Cabinet of Ministers plans to establish a fixed cashback amount of 1 thousand UAH for drivers. This is the amount of refund per consumer per month, he added.
