A new power on the map of Polish entertainment is growing in Gliwice. The investment, which has aroused emotions among residents and tourism industry analysts for months, is entering its decisive phase. The investor has just revealed his cards: we know the exact opening date and the scale of the project, which has a chance to become a new symbol of the region.

Silesia is no longer associated only with heavy industry, and starts with a lot of money flowing into the leisure sector. A gigantic amusement park is being built in Gliwice, which intends to challenge the biggest players in this part of Europe with its offer. The project, implemented on a grand scale, assumes the creation of a space combining modern technology with classic recreation. Wouter Dekkers, CEO of Momentum Leisure, in an interview with PropertyNews.pl, reveals the details everyone has been waiting for.
Over 30 attractions and millions in the background
According to operational information, the heart of the investment will be over 30 different attractions, including: technologically advanced carousels, thematic zones and an extensive gastronomic offer.
The thematic concept is based Nickelodeon characters and The Smurfs (including SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
– What we can say now is that it will be a completely new concept. Our previous projects in Poland – Majaland Kownaty, Majaland Warszawa and Majaland Gdańsk – are based on a well-known format. In Gliwice, however, we are taking a different approach and are introducing a completely new concept, which will also operate under a new name, which we plan to present in the second quarter of 2026 – he reveals in an interview with PropertyNews.pl Wouter Dekkers.
– The underground infrastructure and technical zones are already ready, and the first construction elements are appearing on the investment site. (…) The biggest visual change is now the main hall, which will be the heart of the entire complex. The assembly of the prefabricated reinforced concrete structure is underway and for the first time, standing on the construction site, you can really feel the scale of this facility, says Wouter Dekkers.

He adds that there will be two roller coasters in the park: Zierer and Gerstlauer. “One of them will be partially outdoors, which is the first such solution in our parks in Poland and will introduce a completely new dynamic of experience.”
Investors emphasize that the park was designed to generate profits all year round, not only in the summer season. This is key information for the market – revenue stability in this sector can be a challenge. The proximity of the A1 and A4 motorways means that the Gliwice park has excellent logistics facilities, which is crucial for the profitability of the project.
We know the opening date
The most awaited information was the date when the first customers would be able to leave money at the park's ticket offices. If the finishing works go according to schedule, there will be a grand opening will take place in July 2027. The investor targets a specific moment of the year to make the most of the novelty effect and cumulative demand.
Impact on the local market
For Gliwice and the surrounding communes, it is not only a matter of prestige. The new amusement park means hundreds of new jobs and a huge injection of cash from taxes. Local entrepreneurs are already preparing for the invasion of tourists, which is visible in the revival of the commercial real estate market near the investment.
The investment is worth over EUR 50 million, and construction will take a total of approximately 18 months. After opening, the park will employ approximately 200 people in various positions – from management staff and technical specialists to operational employees and customer service teams. In addition, there is a wide network of local suppliers – reports PropertyNews.pl.
Will the Gliwice giant turn out to be a gold mine, or has the entertainment market in Poland already been saturated enough? The industry is waiting with bated breath for the first financial results after the opening, which will show whether Poles are still willing to spend money on adrenaline and fun in times of high prices.
The owners of the famous Energylandia, which is located not that far from Gliwice, in Zator, Lesser Poland, are certainly thinking about it.
The largest amusement parks in Poland
-
Energylandia (Zator, Lesser Poland Voivodeship) – The undisputed leader and the largest amusement park in Poland. This is where record investments such as Hyperion and Zadra are located. A facility of European scale that completely changed the tourist market in the region.
-
Legendia Silesian Amusement Park (Chorzów, Silesian Voivodeship) – The oldest large park in Poland, which has undergone thorough modernization. As a theme park, it combines the tradition of an amusement park with modern attractions (e.g. Lech Coaster).
-
Mandoria (Rzgów near Łódź) – The largest year-round indoor amusement park in Europe. A key player in the theme park segment, styled as a Renaissance trading city.
-
Majaland (Kownaty / Warsaw / Gdańsk) – A network of large theme parks based on well-known licenses (Pszczółka Maja). The facility in Kownaty is a huge investment located near the border, focused on customers from Poland and Germany.
-
Suntago Wodny Świat (Wręcza near Mszczonów) – Although it is a water park, its scale (the largest indoor water park in Europe) and the value of the investment put it in line with the largest players in the entertainment industry.
-
Hossoland (Brojce) – a theme park based on fairy tales and legends, which is being built in Pomerania, unfortunately closed soon after opening, is currently struggling with procedural problems.
