A Krasnoyarsk resident who did not obey the lawful demands of the police was arrested for 7 days.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region said that on March 12, an accident occurred in the Central District of Krasnoyarsk. The culprit of the accident was the 42-year-old driver of a Lexus car, who collided with a Toyota.
At the scene of the incident, traffic police officers several times demanded that the driver get out of the car to conduct a check. But the man ignored the lawful demands of the police. In addition, eyewitnesses to the accident told law enforcement that the driver of the Lexus was drunk, smelled of alcohol, and was staggering and speaking slurred.

“Due to the driver’s refusal to leave the vehicle and present documents, the police decided to use physical force and special means. To gain access to the driver, the side window of the car was broken, after which the door was opened and the man was detained. The driver refused to undergo a medical examination to determine if he was intoxicated, which is a violation of the law,” the regional police clarified.
Administrative material was drawn up against the violator under Part 1 of Art. 12.26 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. It provides for a fine of 45 thousand rubles and deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to 2 years. Also, material has been compiled against the driver under Part 1 of Art. 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for disobedience to a lawful demand of a police officer. The court arrested him for 7 days.
