Mircea Badea to Elena Lasconi: “Why is Antonescu's remark disturbed, but not Basescu's joke?”

Elena Lasconi, USR candidate for presidential elections, was asked on Wednesday evening, in debate organized by Antena 3 CNN In the Parliament, why did he not react in the past to a joke made by Traian Basescu about being blonde, while criticizing Crin Antonescu's remark addressed to journalist Digi 24 Anca Suciu. The question was addressed by TV presenter Mircea Badea, who referred to a moment reported by Hotnewsin the first electoral debate.

The journalist Mircea Badea reminded him of Elena Lasconi, at the debate organized this evening by Antena 3 CNN in Parliament, an older scene, in which the former president Traian Basescu told him: “Lady, stay blonde”, question as follows: “Now that I did not reassure, and I did not know, Basescu, and he said: Lady, stay blonde.

Elena Lasconi replied: “Yes, I know. It was an uninspired joke and I said that I delimit his jokes (no of Traian Basescu, former president of Romania). But he likes his jokes … It happens so many … ladies, think of each of you, each one has been wrong.”

The USR candidate explained that his reaction from the previous evening, at the debate organized by TVR, was caused by a question to Crin Antonescu by the journalist Hotnews David Leonard Bularca, related to a remark that Antonescu had made to the journalist Digi24, Anca Suciu:

“It was, in fact, a question asked by a journalist from Hotnews, from another debate I attended, the previous one, who, I repeat, seemed to tell the journalist to be young. Which of the women here were at least once sent to the pan, horn, etc.?”

Crin Antonescu immediately intervened: “Mrs. Lasconi, did I ever ring you? Did I send you to the pan? Please leave me alone!”

At the end of the exchange, Elena Lasconi added: “When they sent me to the saucepan, I won MasterChef. I also performed there.”

Mircea Badea again refers to Hotnews and ironizes Crin Antonescu's reaction

The question addressed to Elena Lasconi came in the context of another reference made by Mircea Badea to Hotnews, during the same debate. The presenter was addressed to Crin Antonescu, ironically reminding him of the reaction held the night before, on TVR, when he was irritated by a question asked by journalist Hotnews, David Leonard Bularca:

“And last night you had a moment of irritation when you asked a person from Hotnews about another episode beforehand. You told him it was a challenge. That's why I have to be very careful, I do not want to initiate such a confusion,” said Mircea Badea.

Crin Antonescu's remark and Elena Lasconi's reaction

The incident was discussed on Tuesday evening, at the presidential debate organized by TVR, when journalist Hotnews David Leonard Bularca asked Crin Antonescu a question to the remark made one night before, during the debate from Digi24.

In the first debate, when journalist Anca Suciu (Digi24) asked him a question, Crin Antonescu answered “Immediately, to my patience, you ask you a little, of course you are hard because you are so young, admirably young and all.”

In the face of the journalist Hotnews, Crin Antonescu rejected the idea that the remark would have been moved: “I do not see what was to be discussed about the thing I said, it was a exchange of words, a dialog that I had in front of everyone. […] I did not have the slightest shade of lack of respect for Mrs. Suciu. […] I do not admit the challenges, I do not admit the slum regardless of sex. ”

Elena Lasconi intervened then with a right to reply: “So often I heard finesse, shades of these. So often we were horrified in traffic just because we have blond hair, so many times we have heard that we have to go to the pan, that our place is not in power, that we started to believe this.
