With only 4 points accumulated in 13 games, Dinamo is in 7th place in the group and he no longer has a chance to qualify for the quarter-final play-off. After the victory in the previous stage with Kolstad, score 33-23, the “dulas” will try to win in Lisbon and prove that the result with the Norwegian team was not accidental.

Even though Dinamo lost the first leg from Bucharest to Sporting, 30-33, the champions believe that if Robert Militaru had not been disqualified in the 6th minute, the red and white could have achieved a positive result.

“We are Dinamo and our mentality is to approach every match with the ambition to win, and this one will be no exception. Even if we know that we cannot qualify for the next phase, we will enter the match with the clear objective of winning and continuing to strengthen our way of playing as a team,” Dynamo coordinator Miguel Martins said for the EHF website.

A possible first “7” for Dinamo: Cupara, Negru, Buzle, Stanciuc, Vujovic, Nistor, Dedu.

At the bookies, Sporting is the favorite with a rate of 1.24-1.26, while Dinamo is rated with 5.20-5.40.

Ricardo Costa: “We have to be the best version of ourselves”

After 13 stages, Sporting Lisbon is in 6th place, with 12 points. Regardless of the result of the game with Dinamo, the Lusitanian champion will remain in the same position in the ranking.

Sporting is qualified for the play-offs, where they will play for a place in the quarter-finals against Wisla Plock.

For today's match between Sporting and Dinamo, the tactical duel between the two Portuguese coaches, Ricardo Costa and Paulo Pereira, can be decisive in determining the final result.

“We will play this match with a great sense of responsibility. It's the Champions League and we have to enjoy and make the best of every moment. Dinamo is a great opponent. A strong team with good players and well trained. We have to be ready and be the best version of ourselves,” said Sporting coach Ricardo Costa.

A probable first “7” for Sporting Lisbon: Kristensen, Torkelsson, M. Costa, Gurri, Kiko Costa, Dominguez, Romero.
