Dani Coman, the president of FC Argeș, was live on TV about two hours before the start the match with U Clujfrom the semifinals of the Romanian Cup.
Dani Coman spoke about the financial problems that the club has and is convinced that they will be solved in the shortest time.
At one point, the journalist Decebal Rădulescu, who was in the studio of the show “Fotbal Club”, from Digi Sport, asked Coman if there was a premium for winning the match with U Cluj. He replied: “did Bogdan make you ask me, to put pressure on me? We have a premium for winning the Cup, but we will also give them one for winning today's match. I will think about it“.
Dani Coman: “Financial problems will be solved at FC Argeș”
Dani Coman, about the financial situation of the club:
“We have shown that this club can grow organically, but performance without money is not possible. We cannot compete with the big teams of the championship when we can bring players for a maximum of 8,000 euros per month. It is one thing to bring players for 15,000, it is another to bring 8,000.
I don't even care what happens to other teams; I want to be able to bring in players too, not pick them up, because that's what's happening now. The first after a possible victory against U Cluj would come as a result of the efforts we are making. We don't have money at the moment.
The financial criterion is the reason why we do not have a license, we are in appeal. Problems will be solved as soon as possible, players will be up to date. I appealed in good time, the financial problems will be resolved in 10 days, maximum two weeks. We have a deficit of 1.5 million euros.
I don't want a budget of 10-15 million, like other teams, but 6-7 million. Then, yes, we can hope to perform and think about a strategy for the coming years. I want people who come with their soul, not just with words.
If I wanted to sell Tudose for 1.5 million euros, I would sell him tomorrow at half-time, but it is not a goal for me to sell him for that money. If he leaves, he will leave for at least 3 million“, said Dani Coman.
I believe that we will manage to get the money and that, from this summer, we will stabilize and have a budget that will allow us to fight for the first places. I don't want us to be in the European cups in one year, I want us to be consistently high. Being there opportunistically is not a goal. There have been teams that have reached the top and, after a few years, struggled to avoid relegation.
