Real Madrid's top scorer, Kylian Mbappe (27 years old), returned to the Spanish capital last night, after spending the last few days in Paris. The forward has returned to his home country for further medical checks on his left knee injury, which continues to trouble him.
He was accompanied by a physiotherapist from the Madrid club. The attacker has been suffering from an injury to the external ligament in his left knee since the end of last year.

Due to persistent pain during training, Mbappe he missed the last three matches: the return with Benfica in the League, respectively the championship matches with Getafe and Celta Vigo.
Mbappe will not be fit for the Champions League round of 16 first leg against Manchester City.
Further tests scheduled in the coming days will show whether there is any chance the French striker will be back on the pitch for the return leg in England on March 17.

On Sunday, the daily “Marca” published the information that there would be a small possibility that Mbappe would try, in the remaining two days, to prepare for the first confrontation with Manchester City.
However, this scenario seems almost impossible. Thus, Alvaro Arbeloa will not be able to count on either the Frenchman or Jude Bellingham in the match at home with the “citizens”.
