Maja Muri (26 years old) will be the new pivot of the women's handball team of SCM Craiova. She arrives from Norway, from Molde Handball Club, where she played from 2024 until now.
Originally from Lorenskog, Norway, Maja Muri played for hometown team Lillestrom until 2017 when she signed with Aker Topphandball. From 2018 to 2024, the 1.68 meter handball player played 3 seasons each for Fredrikstad Ballklubb and Romerike Ravens.

In 2024, Muri accepted Molde HC's offer and stayed in the Norwegian league, scoring 169 goals this season. After two years at Molde, the Nordic pivot signed with SCM Craiova and will play in Romania, in the Florilor League.
A valuable pivot, she arrives from the powerful Nordic Championship, a true elite school of world handball, and comes prepared to bring strength, determination and a lot of energy to the battle in the semi-circle!

Muri debuted in the summer of 2023 for the Norwegian women's national team and was in the extended squad for the World Championship in Holland and Germany in the winter of 2025, but did not make the final squad.
Maja Muri seems to be in excellent form this season, consistently having 7-8 goal matches. On March 15, 2026, in a duel with Tertnes, she scored 12 times. Molde was eliminated in the semi-finals of the Norwegian championship by Sola, who prevailed 2-0 and will play the final against Storhamar.
Muri scored 10 goals in the two games with Sola in the semi-finals of the Norwegian league.
