There is nothing deadlier than mosquitoes – they kill up to a million people a year
Mosquitoes have proven to be the most dangerous creatures for humans. Mortality from diseases caused by mosquito bites, according to various estimates, ranges from 750 thousand to 1 million people per year.
This is more than all other representatives of the top dangerous species combined.
For comparison: snake bites, which are the second most dangerous, kill about 100 thousand people a year in the world. From attacks by lions and crocodiles – hundreds of times less. And sharks are not included in the rating at all.
