120 thousand defective bullets on the front. Four people stopped

The case came out half a year after the Ukrainian media wrote about the complaints of soldiers from the first line of the front for ineffective missiles. In one of the recordings that the network circulated in November, the soldier said that Only one in ten launched bullets worked properly. At that time, the need to withdraw from the front up to 100,000 ammunition pieces.
The SBU conducted an investigation in the arms plant in the Dnipropetrów District, where the detainees were to act together to the detriment of the army.
“In mass production, the suspects used low -quality materials and used defective technological solutions, which caused damage to the mains of the main load and unstable action of the entire thrust,” – the services were announced.
The names of the detainees were not disclosed, but investigators accuse all four people with a deliberate reduction of production costs to maximize profits. According to SBU, both a military and employee responsible for the quality “consciously ignored” the defect of ammunition and forged documentation to hide the scale of the problem.
“As a result, 120,000 useless missiles hit the front,” emphasizes SBU. If you prove guilt, suspect is up to 15 years in prison.
Artillery ammunition remains a key element of Ukrainian defense in the prolonged war. Kyiv today faces both staff and logistics challenges. The authorities are considering reducing the age of conscript to 18 years, while trying to avoid weapon deficiencies.
