The son of Russian billionaire Musa Bazhaev, who was arrested for beating a police officer, was released from a pre-trial detention center on an obligation to appear. He was released on September 24. Previously, the case was transferred to the central office of the Investigative Committee, after which a release order was issued.
The conflict occurred at the end of July near the Luzhniki stadium, when police tried to detain Bazhaev. In response to this, he attacked them with his fists. In court, the guy stated that the officer hit him first. At the same time, lawyers insisted that the boy could not sit in a pre-trial detention center – because he had chronic bronchitis + there was not enough evidence. The defense also asked the court to include in the case materials not only the video of the investigators, but also theirs.
