A cafe from Bucharest, chosen among the 100 best in the world for the second consecutive year. What place is it on?

Out of a total of over 38,000 coffee shops registered at the start, the business started from a space on Lipscani Street in the Capital was included for the second consecutive year in The World's 100 Best Coffee Shops.
Bob Coffee Lab occupies the 55th position in the world hierarchy, being the only domestic business present in the ranking announced at the CoffeeFest Madrid 2026 event, according to Ziarul Financiar.
The evaluation was carried out through a mixed system, which combined the vote of an international jury of over 800 experts with the vote of the global public, analyzing criteria such as coffee quality, consistency, team expertise and customer experience.
The chain currently operates nine units in Bucharest, in areas such as Băneasa Shopping City or Charles de Gaulle Square.
“We don't just build places where you drink coffee, but a system that must work flawlessly, day in and day out, in every location. The fact that we are in this top again shows that standards can be maintained without compromise,” say company representatives.
In the 2025 edition, the Romanian brand ranked 46th worldwide. The business is operated by the company Board of Beans SRL, which reported, according to the most recent data, a turnover of 8.3 million lei, increasing by 21%, writes ZF.
This performance comes in an expanding local market, where almost 200 specialty cafes operate, out of a total of over 5,200 identified at European level.
