“From the data that the Ministry of National Defense has at the moment, against the background of the evolution of the security situation in Iran, there does not appear to be a military threat to the national territory”, it is stated in the official statement.

The Romanian Army maintains permanently in service forces that supervise the air, naval, land, informational and cyber environments, ensuring the detection of threats and the immediate reaction. Military and civilian specialists are permanently on standby and intervention duty, 24/7.

“The military has adjusted its posture and measures have been ordered to increase vigilance and prepare systems that complement the immediate reaction forces,” states MApN.

In addition, the United States naval facilities at Deveselu, integrated into the NATO system, provide anti-ballistic protection against emerging threats from outside the Euro-Atlantic area.

The ministry emphasizes that it is in permanent contact with the allies and coordinates all the necessary measures to ensure Romania's security.
