After Saturday night's game, Farul – CFR Cluj, score 1-2in the 29th stage of the Superliga, another play-off place was occupied. Daniel Pancu's team also qualified in the top 6, being at this moment 5 teams safe from the place in the leading platoon. There is only one place left and no less than three teams who are eyeing the last play-off ticket: FC Argeș, FCSB and UTA Arad.

FC Argesnow the last in the play-off spot, is the only one within reach and currently the favorite to complete the first 6 positions. FCSB she is forced to win both her matches and wait for the Argesans to stumble. Ato she also has mathematical chances, but the situation of the Aradians is even more complicated.

The champion knew before this round that she can go to the play-offs if she wins until the end and if three other scenarios are fulfilled. Two did not materialize, they were shattered, so the road to the play-off is increasingly complicated.

And, if the last scenario – FC Argeș prevails against Dinamo – is fulfilled, then at the time of the match on Sunday evening, FCSB will be out of the play-off, regardless of what they do in Arad.

CALCULATIONS » Three teams for the last play-off place

The calculations looked complicated before the matches in round 29. Seven teams were fighting for the remaining three places. Meanwhile, two were busy, U Cluj and CFR Cluj, and some teams wasted any chance to advance among the top 6.

Sunday marks a decisive day for the future of several teams and for the play-off configuration. The result of Dinamo – FC Argeș, from 18:00, can end the calculations completely. If Pitesti wins, FCSB is in the play-out!

Argeș, to a play-off victory

In short, FC Argeș needs success. With three more points, they would reach the milestone of 49. FCSB, with 43, could at most equal it, but in the event of a tie, the team from Trivale has the advantage of direct matches.

Even if they won't win against Dinamo on Sunday, FC Argeș is still the team with the best chances in the play-offs. With a success in the last round, with Unirea Slobozia, they would go to the play-offs and complete the leading platoon.

FCSB is shaking more and more

FCSB remains in the books only if Argeș does not score three points on Sunday. If Andone's students draw or lose with Dinamo, FCSB still hopes.

FC Argeș could stay with 46 or make 47. Then, FCSB, only with a success in Arad, would remain close to Pitesti.

Scenarios:

  1. FC Argeș loses against Dinamo – remains with 46 points

  • FCSB wins in Arad – tied at 46 and everything is played in the last round: FCSB must win and FC Argeș must only draw

  • FCSB draws in Arad – scores 44 points and remains in the game: must win against U Cluj and FC Argeș to lose in the last round against Slobozia

  • FCSB loses in Arad – remains with 43 points and is in the play-out

  1. FC Argeș draws with Dinamo – scores 47 points

  • FCSB wins in Arad – scores 46 points and everything is decided in the last round: FCSB must win, FC Argeș must not win against Slobozia

  • FCSB draws in Arad – makes 44 points and is in the play-out

  • FCSB loses in Arad – remains with 33 and is in the play-out

UTA Arad, terrible mission for the play-off

At the moment, UTA has 42 points. With two wins, at home against FCSB and Metaloglobus away, they would reach 48. In which case they would only hope that one condition would be met to enter the play-offs: FC Argeș to get a maximum of two points with Dinamo (away) and Unirea Slobozia (home). This is because in the event of a tie, 48-48, they have the advantage of “directs” (3-3 and 1-0);

Four points would only be enough if both of the following conditions were met:
