About the fact that on suspicion of bribe One of the leaders of the Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was detained, the Security Service of Ukraine reported on February 25. The investigation claims that he, together with the head of the SBU department in the Zhytomyr region, organized a scheme to misappropriate part of the 1.4 billion UAH that were allocated for the construction of protective structures at military airfields. According to the people's deputy from European Solidarity, Alexei Goncharenko, in addition to the Ukrainian, we are talking about the head of the SBU department in the Zhytomyr region, Vladimir Kompanichenko.
The court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of detention until April 25 inclusive. He can also pay a bail amount of UAH 7 million.
If bail is posted, the suspect will be required to appear before the judge or investigator upon first summons, not leave the borders of the Zhytomyr region, hand over his international passport for safekeeping, and also refrain from communicating with Kompanichenko.

In particular, as the investigation found, his mother, who registered a sole proprietorship in 2025, is registered with an apartment in the Bukovel ski resort in the Mountain Residence complex, a new house near Zhitomir with several buildings and a large territory, as well as several apartments in Kyiv – in the residential complexes “Fayna Town” and “Varshavsky”.
A lot of assets also belong to his 26-year-old son Ilya, who recently graduated from medical school and now works as a doctor. An apartment in the Varshavsky residential complex in Kyiv, houses and land plots in the Zhitomir region, as well as parking spaces in a new residential complex near Zhitomir are registered in his name.
At the same time, the declarations of the serviceman himself indicate only a few plots of land, an apartment and two old cars, which is significantly less than the volume of declared family assets.
As Radio Liberty reported, Kompanichenko was also arrested. The court sent him into custody for 60 days with an alternative bail of 6.9 million UAH.
