Arriving in the Superliga play-out for the second season in a row, Farul Constanța is suffering from a financial point of view, mainly due to the reduction of the amounts coming from television rights. Aware since the winter that the team has little chance of entering the top six positions, the leaders of the white-blues began to take measures to balance the budget.
They put several players on the transfer list, to reduce the salary part, but they only managed to get rid of three of them, Răzvan Ducan, Boban Nikolov and Andre Seruca.
At the same time, they decided to carry out the training during the competitive break at their own sports base, with much lower costs than a training camp abroad, even if this did not give them many options for the opponents in the friendly matches. In addition, they also went through restructuring regarding the administrative staff, giving up several employees and collaborators.

For the moment, the problems do not affect the technical staff and the players, even if they were also felt regarding the winter transfers. Although Ianis Zicu requested three players, the only one who came was Denis Alibec, only because he was directed to Farul by the owner of FCSB, Gigi Becali, without financial claims.
The big blow given by the lack of results was the drop in the share of the lot, a determining chapter for a club that survives by selling players. Along with the 35-year-old international, only one kid from Spain, Rareș Fotin, was brought in, without a single match at senior level.
“We don't feel it, because, from this point of view, the club respects what it has to do with the employees. Clearly, a deficit, which the club had, affects both the club and the shareholders, who have to bring that amount into the budget. The important thing is that we, as a technical side, get as much as possible, grow and develop the players. Let's bring the young ones to another level, so they can be transferred to other teams, because this is the reality, this is what our club does,” said Ianis Zicu.
