In addition, Trzaskowski announced the purchase of generators. In total, he said, 1 thousand of these things were collected in the metro, but later their number will be increased.
“This is not about scaring anyone. We are safe, but dear ones, those who are careful are always insured,” said the city mayor.
We are talking about the project Podziemna Tarcza (“Underground Shield”), which involves adapting metro stations to serve as shelters, reminiscent of TVP3. According to the plan, the metro will be able to accommodate more than 100 thousand people.
