It is known that the unmanned aircraft briefly violated Romanian airspace near the Black Sea town of Sfantu Gheorghe, then left it north of Sulina, flying only over territorial waters.
According to information provided by the Romanian Ministry of Defense, the incident did not pose a direct threat to the civilian population.
The army action lasted until approximately 18.45, when the situation was considered under control. No remains of an unmanned aircraft were found in the area of the incident, which was confirmed by field inspections.
The Ministry of Defense strongly condemned Russian attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure. Romania considers them a serious violation of international law and a threat to regional security.
