Firefighters fight fires in five provinces of Turkey. Fire in tourist Antalya


The fire that broke out in the province of the dormitory, spread from forest areas to nearby residential zones. Residents of the most endangered areas were evacuated. In the fields, in the midst of flames, farmers were imprisoned to whom rescue teams were directed.
Local authorities reported that wind and high temperatures contributed to the rapid spread of fire. After a few hours of action, the firefighters managed to “largely” the fire.
Fires in Turkey
Another fire broke out in the Mediterranean province of Antalya. Firefighting teams responded both from the air and Earth, sending several helicopters, fire trucks and dozens of firefighters. A fire, although it currently does not threaten populated areas, is still persistent.
Firefighters' activities are also underway in the northwestern province of Sakarya, where forested areas are burning.
In the province of Izmir, three fires broke out in the last 48 hours, and the last one was reported on Friday before noon. The fire was controlled, but the authorities warned about the high risk of re -ignition due to ongoing dry and windy conditions.
No fatalities have been reported in any of these fires.
Forest fires in Turkey pose a regular threat in the summer, especially in the regions of the Aegean and Mediterranean, where hot and dry weather creates ideal conditions for the rapid spread of fire – reminded the Turkish daily “Hurriyet”.
