Six county roads in Ialomiţa are closed on Sunday morning due to the weather conditions, with the authorities recommending citizens to avoid non-essential travel and to respect the established restrictions.

According to the County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) Ialomiţa, at 9:00, traffic was closed on DJ 201 B – Raşi – Ciochina, DJ 313 Horia – Axintele, DJ 402 Hagieşti – Lilieci, DJ 102 H – Grindu – Colelia, DJ 102H Miloşeşti – Reviga, DJ 203F Scânteia – Murgeanca – Valea Ciorii, DJ 213 Gura Ialomiţei – border with Brăila county and DJ 201 Albeşti – Poiana.

“The structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are prepared at the level of Ialomiţa county and act in an integrated system for the operative solution of any requests from citizens. We ask the traffic participants to respect the established restrictions, to avoid non-essential travel in the affected areas and to be constantly informed from official sources about the evolution of the situation”transmitted IJ Ialomița, according to Agerpres.

Meanwhile, the National Railway Company “CFR” SA has informed that a number of 511 employees, together with snow removal equipment and snow removal equipment, are being mobilized preventively, on Sunday, to ensure railway traffic in adverse weather conditions.

Saivan with hundreds of animals, collapsed due to snow

A saivan that housed approximately 400 sheep and goats collapsed due to the snow, on Saturday evening, in the Prahove commune Albeşti-Paleologu, Vadu Părului village, writes the local press.

Following the collapse of the roof, approximately 30 animals were found dead, and the others were evacuated by the intervention crews or managed to get out of the saivan on their own, the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Prahova informed on Sunday morning.

Over 130 people rescued from the mountain

At the same time, a number of 133 people were rescued from the mountain, in the last 24 hours, the National Salvamont Dispatch announced on Sunday morning.

According to the cited source, 40 people were transported by SAJ, SMURD or SALVAMONT ambulances to the hospital, and the rest were given permission to be transported by their relatives' cars.

In the last 24 hours, the Salvamont National Dispatch received 127 calls requesting the emergency intervention of mountain rescuers. Also, 63 calls were received at Salvamont requesting advice and information about different tourist routes in the mountain area.
