Dennis Man, last leg goal
Dennis Man (27 years old) started the match with Volendam from the reserve position and was introduced in the 64th minute, instead of Esmir Bajraktarevic. The Romanian scored the equalizer in a spectacular finish at Kras Stadion, but Volendam struck and produced the surprise of the stage.
Peter Bosz's side are looking to avoid back-to-back defeats in the league, which has not happened since 2022, when PSV were defeated by Ajax and AZ Alkmaar.
PSV, authoritative leader on home soil
PSV are top of the Eredivisie with 59 points after 23 matches, 14 points ahead of Feyenoord.
On home soil, the “farmers” are definite favourites. Heerenveen haven't won at the Philips Stadion since February 2009 and PSV have made it three consecutive head-to-head wins after their only defeat in their last 10 matches against the “Super Frisians” (0-1 in December 2024).
Heerenveen, attacking form
The visitors are in 8th place with 31 points and hope to stay in the race for the European playoffs. Although they haven't kept a clean sheet in six league games (eight games in all competitions), Robin Veldman's side have scored seven times in their last two games, 3-1 with Go Ahead Eagles and 4-2 with PEC Zwolle.
However, the team from Friesland has not won in Eindhoven for 17 years.
