“The pit fell so much that the gas pipe was exposed. The administration feeds breakfasts and a month cannot fall asleep the hole. At best, they can be left without gas, at worst – the pipe will tear.”
Such a message appeared in the TG channel of the mayor of Saratov two hours before the gas explosion. According to the locals, no one paid attention to the pipe, which was already in disrepair.
The maintenance of gas equipment in the entire house under an agreement with the Criminal Code was supposed to be carried out in July. Individually, most of the apartments were going to check – partially this was already done from January to May. 120 apartments were waiting for maintenance of gas equipment.
At least 256 people lived in an exploding house in 2025. How many residents at the time of the emergency were in the building, it turns out. Relatives cannot get in touch with at least two people.
