The first ever spacewalk by space tourists has begun
Billionaire investor Jared Isaacman and SpaceX engineer Sarah Gillies opened the front hatch of the Polaris Dawn spacecraft to take turns walking into outer space. There are two more crew members on backup, Anna Menon and Scott Poteet.
At the same time, the exit participants will not “freely soar” away from Crew Dragon, since the design of their spacesuits does not imply their own life support system. The maximum distance to which they can move does not exceed 3.5 meters.
