“I have nothing to hide. I have been exonerated. I have nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein”the American president told the media in the presidential plane, when he was asked about the statements of the former secretary of state Hillary Clinton according to which she and her husband are being dragged into this case and that the Trump government is hiding something, reports Agerpres.

Hillary and Bill Clinton agreed to testify before Congress in the Epstein investigation on February 26 and 27, although neither was charged with wrongdoing.

President Trump took the opportunity to attack them, stating that “Clinton and many other Democrats were involved” in reviewing documents regarding the investigation into Epstein, who committed suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial in prison on charges of child sex trafficking.

Epstein previously pleaded guilty in 2008 in Florida after being accused of soliciting prostitution with a minor, after which he was registered as a sex offender.

The Justice Department has released more than three million pages of documents, 2,000 videos and 180,000 images related to the Epstein investigation, but the process has been criticized by lawmakers and victims for delays and privacy violations that led to the temporary withdrawal of thousands of files.

The publication of the documents was carried out in accordance with a law that obliges the disclosure of all documents related to the case of the deceased millionaire who had connections with Donald Trump especially in the 1980s and 1990s, as well as with former President Clinton, the former Prince Andrew of England and other high-profile figures.

White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt insisted last week that Donald Trump had cut ties with Epstein, but did not clarify whether the Republican was aware of his crimes.
