Russian troops from humanitarian considerations will stop all military operations in the zone from May 7 to 10, according to the Kremlin website.
The statement says that the Ukrainian side, according to Russia, should follow this example, and in case of violations of the ceasefire by the Ukrainian side, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will give an adequate and effective answer.
“The Russian side once again declares its readiness for peace negotiations without preliminary conditions aimed at eliminating the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis, constructive interaction with international partners.”
