In the Krasnoyarsk Flora and Fauna Park “Roev Ruchey” bears began to wake up.
The park's press service reported that TThe Yan Shan white-clawed Pamir bear opened its eyes and left its winter shelter at the beginning of February. Ethat means it's springand it's already close.
“The awakening of bears in zoos is a kind of indicator of impending changes. Even when in captivity, clubfoot retain an amazing connection with natural cycles. Their internal biological clock accurately counts down time, telling them: “Hey, buddy, stop sleeping! It’s going to get warmer soon!” told in the park.
At the same time, in In nature, everything depends on geography and the vagaries of the weather. In the European part of Russia, bears usually leave their dens in the first half of March. Siberian clubfoot more patient – they get out closer to the second half of March. And in regions with really harsh winters bears may doze until mid-April.
After leaving the den bear behaves quite cautiously: looks around, sniffs the air, studies the situation. For the beast, this is truly like a rebirth – the beginning of a completely new life after long months of non-existence.
First two weeks clubfoot inactive. It doesn’t go far from the den, wanders around in circles, snacking on whatever it takes—last year’s dry grass or, if you’re lucky, the carcasses of animals that didn’t survive the winter. It regularly returns to its warm shelter, and if the weather turns bad, it may not come out at all for several days.
Park specialists noted that the awakening of bears Pamir and Buyan is signoh what nature is waking up, daylight hours are increasing, and very soon It will be warm like spring.
