The Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory adopted two laws on housing benefits for families of SVO participants

At the session of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, deputies considered two bills that concern the families of SVO participants.

The first document is changes to the law on social payments for the purchase or construction of housing. A new category has been added to the list of young families that have a priority right to be included in the program and receive payments – widows and children of deceased SVO participants who have not remarried. The document was approved in the first reading.

Chairman of the Committee on Construction, Housing and Public Utilities and Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Parliament Aleksey Kulesh explained that earlier deputies had already approved changes allowing the participants of the special operation themselves to join this program. The new bill extends support measures to their families in the event of a tragedy.

“We are providing an additional measure for single-parent families who have lost a loved one during a special operation. Now they will be able to count on government support as a priority,” said Alexey Kulesh.

The second document regulates the opportunity for SBO participants to become members of housing and construction cooperatives on preferential terms.

“This is a support measure that allows SBO participants to join housing construction cooperatives. This is now not a very common form of housing provision, but, nevertheless, we provide it so that participants in a special military operation feel protected, as they say, in civilian life,” noted Alexey Kulesh.
