“Aren't you embarrassed?” Mihai Bendeac, after being accused of harassing a young woman at the premiere of his film: “The lady initiated the gesture and laughed”
Filia Center accused Mihai Bendeac of sexual harassment during the premiere of his film “City Boys: Golden Boyz”. The actor immediately reacted on Instagram, stating that the gesture was funny and that the young woman was willingly involved. “The young lady initiated the gesture and laughed,” he said.

The actor Mihai Bendeac made the first statements after the Filia Center, an organization that promotes women's rights, accused him of harassing a young woman during the premiere of his film “City Boys: Golden Boyz”. The organization also published an image of the scene, the photo being originally posted by the actor himself on social networks.
“We were disgusted and outraged by the images of Mihai Bendeac in which he harasses a young woman. It is inadmissible for public figures to abuse women and girls and not be held accountable.” it is shown in the message posted by Centrul Filia.
On Instagram, Mihai Bendeac responded to the accusations and presented his own version of the event.
“@centrulfilia, the blogger Zoso and a YouTube “influencer” joined hands today to sexually assault a woman. Tomorrow morning we will file a complaint with the Police. Until then, this is my answer to these individuals and to the aforementioned institution.” said the actor.

About the scene at the premiere, Bendeac explained that the lady in question initiated the gesture.
“First of all, how dare you sexualize an absolutely hilarious event and subject a woman to such public shaming? The young lady initiated the gesture and laughed because I, being tired after days of taking photos with thousands of people, was looking for the heart in the area of the collarbones. Her private parts were not touched, and the whole matter created hilarity for both of them. I'm a man who does NOT need to grope women at fan meetings with hundreds of people around. You probably go through your filters and your fantasies“, added Bendeac.
The actor also expressed his surprise that the allegations were made without consulting the young woman involved.
“The serious part comes from the fact that you allowed yourself to sexualize and do such a thing to a woman. Who, by the way, was NOT asked/contacted about this. If you were in good faith, you could try to find out who she is and contact her, ask her. Aren't you ashamed?”, Bendeac concluded.
