“The truce is closest since the beginning of the war.” The diary has no doubt

The statements of the presidents of Ukraine and the USA, Wołdymyr Zelnski and Donald Trump, after their Saturday meeting in Rome show that he has never been so close to the truce in Ukraine – we read.
This is also indicated by the statement of Trump, who after the Friday visit of his envoy Steve Witkoff in Moscow announced that Russia and Ukraine are close to agreements. “Telegraph”, however, pointed out that similar statements in the case of a truce had already been made.
Kyiv cannot fight alone. “The only way out”
According to journalists, the concessions on the Ukrainian side are inevitable. Russia has an advantage in the war for destruction, and Ukrainians, despite their heroism on the battlefield and the developing arms industry, will not always be able to fight alone.
“Telegraph” writes that the only way out for Kiev is to participate in negotiations on peace proposals, e.g. those presented by Donald Trump. They include the US recognition of Russian sovereignty over an annexed Crimea and the recognition of de facto Russian control over the rest of the occupied Ukrainian territory.
Vladimir Putin will rather agree to Donald Trump's proposal, especially in the face of the risk of imposing new sanctions – we read. It is not known whether a possible truce would currently receive as a blow or part of his plan, but he would certainly present a suspension of weapons as a victory.
In contrast, the position of Wołodymyr Zelanski would be uncertain in this case. If he agrees to give up the Ukrainian territory, he will not remain in the presidential chair for a long time. Putin will be preparing for such a development of events to use the chaos that can control in Ukraine – indicates “Telegraph”.
