Defeated by Saturday's dry failure, 0-2 against U Cluj, Rapidul moved its camp of hopes to Sibiu, the place where it capitulated twice last season, under the supervision of Șumudica.

With a changed batch and not much compared to the last visit to “Municipal”, the people from Giulești were given a new chance to regain their leader's seat, after the twelfth stage of the weekend, in which all the favorites in the championship lost.

And to complete her status as a clear candidate for the titleshaky rank after the last one you provideWell, the cherry-whites have no other solution than victory on the pitch of the Sibiu club, even though Dorinel Munteanu revived here and there, a team that seemed to be decaying.

Far from the ideal version, even with the adjustments made by Gâlcă in the team, Rapid gained an advantage in the cabins. At halftime, Giulești were provisionally in first place.

Sibiu changes its goalkeeper, but the temper, well!

The second half started with an unexpected move by Sibiu: Dorinel Munteanu changed the goalkeeper, Vlad Muțiu taking the place of the starter Căbuz. Forever number #2 among the options at Hermannstaadt, Muțiu entered the match focused and did not blink at the copy-paste shots sent by Tobias Christensen (51', 52').

With a slightly more energetic version, Rapidul was intangible at the start of the second half.

In the 61st minute, Gâlcă's team benefited from an ideal chance to end the “bulk”, but the Giulești players wasted the penalty awarded by Petrila. Dobre was not inspired enough to beat Muțiu, sparing the Sibians from the penalty spot.

An earlier saviour, Muțiu ruined his reputation in the 70th minute when he unwittingly contributed to one of the most spectacular goals of the season. The goalkeeper went outside the box, made a wild pass, and Grameni did not refuse the gift. He scored like a PlayStation from 30 meters, without taking over, confirming the revival of the last period.

Detached in the winners, Rapid also allowed themselves experiments, Gâlcă also called on the controversial Timotej Jambor in the last quarter of an hour. The striker from Slovakia rewarded his coach for the credit he received: he completed a simple formality in the 83rd minute, from Petrila's pass.
