In Krasnoyarsk they decided to remove monument to Commander Nikolai Rezanov from the renovated Peace Square. This was reported to the mayor's office.
According to the new concept, the sculpture is planned to be moved to the Central Embankment, in the area of the Peace Square Museum Center. The freed up space will make it possible to place a stage and create a functional venue for large city events.
According to the authors, Peace Square as the “zero kilometer” of Krasnoyarsk should become a dynamic space, symbolizing the “transition from a historical prison to a modern metropolis.”

The development of design estimates for the relocation of the monument was entrusted to the company Stimex-Design, which participated in the creation of the original project of the memorial almost 20 years ago. Contractors will study the soils and prepare all technical solutions. The work should be completed by the end of May 2026.
Let us recall that the monument to Commander Nikolai Rezanov, created by sculptor Konstantin Zinich and architect Andrei Kasatkin, was erected in Krasnoyarsk in 2007.
